Each of us is on our own pilgrimage. We are all on pilgrimage together.

The people with whom I share the pilgrim road tell me their stories.

I talk with a man who believes that he must do everything right, but is beginning to question the rightness of his answers. I listen to a woman who is afraid to listen to her heart and do what she loves because she is afraid no one will like her anymore. I meet people along the way and we share what we have.

People ask me their questions and I respond with my own questions.

We are pilgrims together even though it can seem that we are headed in different directions. The truth is that, no matter where we begin looking, we are seeking paths to overcome our own obstacles and go deeper. Our destination is within our truest selves.

I am on my own pilgrimage.

I have already traveled a great distance and met many challenges. Like any good hero, I have navigated troubled waters and defeated powerful adversaries, all within myself. I have had amazing adventures and  discovered unexpected treasures, and face adventures yet to come.

Slowly but surely, one step at a time, I find elusive truths that help me know myself.

There are tools that help me along the way. I am becoming able to listen; to myself, to my fellow pilgrims, to the Sacred all around me, to the lessons of silence. I have a strong sense of humor, which is a valuable tool but can also take me off the path. I enjoy walking, and I can learn from the other people with whom I share the road.

Where is your own pilgrimage taking you?

Who is accompanying you on your pilgrimage? Who are you accompanying?

What have you discovered?
